Chicken Curry Meatballs for Babies
One of the biggest challenges of baby-led weaning is finding appropriate shapes that baby can handle that are not a choking risk. These tender meatballs do just that. Large enough to avoid swallowing whole, but small enough to get a good grip; meatballs are a practical recommendation for families.
Meatballs are a convenient way to include high quality protein, heme iron, spices, and even vegetables into a baby's diet. Not only that, but they are quick to prepare and will help you curry favour with the families you counsel. Culinary bliss is right around the corner!

How to Prepare Curry Chicken Meatballs
Ingredients
1 lb (~450g) Chicken, fresh, ground
1/2 White onion, small, finely diced
1 Carrot, grated
1 tbsp ginger, fresh, grated
2 tsp curry powder
1 pinch pepper
1 dash cinnamon
Method
Pre-heat oven to 400*F (200*C).
Add chicken, onion, carrot, and spices to a large bowl.
Mix all the ingredients together well.
Roll the meatballs into a shape slightly larger than a golf ball or, if preferred, into a log shape.
Bake for 20 minutes.
Using an internal thermometer, check that the thickest meatball is cooked thoroughly to 165*F (74*C), the safe temperature for ground chicken.
Once cool, serve and enjoy!
If reheating, make sure you reach this same temperature before serving. Try microwaving with a bit of unsalted chicken broth or coconut milk to make sure they stay tender.
